Motor Nerve Conduction in Patients with Transplanted Kidney

Abstract
A motor nerve conduction study of the Lt. median and deep peroneal nerve has been carried out in 8 patients with transplanted kidney, 8 patients with end stage renal disease and 8 normal control from February to July 1984.
The results were summarized as follows:
In patients with transplanted kidney:
1) Motor nerve conduction of the median nerve was significantly faster than in thoses in the end stage of renal disease but was still significantly slower than that of the normal controls (p<0. fl5).
2) Motor nerve conduction of the peroneal nerve was significantly faster than those in the end stage of renal disease(p3) Distal motor latency of the median and peroneal nerves was not as delayed as those in the end stage of renal disease(p (0.05) and there was no difference from that of the normal controls.
